Execution is a critical part of setting up a business, making a game, and succeeding in general. Sometimes it feels like I’m going to my own execution… Filling in contracts or dealing with taxes isn’t exactly fun, but is a critical part of starting a new studio. Making games isn’t all fun and games (I can feel the wincing, yes it was intended!) powering through tasks that aren’t fun gives more time to do those that are. Right now, we are powering through a laundry list of documents and agreements and moving at a great pace. As the ringmaster of this circus, I try to keep that work on me (and those that are hired to do it) so that important members of the team can focus on making the games amazing. So far it seems to be working.
